MUSIC

Music has always been part of my life. I sang in my first choir in the first grade, picked up the trumpet in seventh grade, and learned most brass instruments during high school. I played coronet, trumpet, french horn, baritone, valve trombone, slide trombone, tuba, and sousaphone (marching tuba) in many different bands in high school (concert band, jazz band, marching band, pep band).

Also during high school, I started playing piano and guitar. The guitar has stayed with me throughout my life as my lifelong friend. In the early 1990's, my sister Bonnie asked if I would play guitar to accompany her Christmas caroling group for one of their songs. One song led to another, and we have since performed at banquets, restaraunts, busy shopping malls, and other civic events. It isn't Christmas until we have put on our victorian outfits and sung our first carol.

Attached below are some pictures from these events:

All Together

The first year, we had a large group.

Pioneer Christmas

In following years, the group has been smaller. Here we are with Pioneer Christmas and Mrs. Cluse at Roaring Camp and Big Trees Railroad in Scotts Valley, CA.

Banquet

This is the Banquet Hall at Mount Hermon Conference Center in Felton, CA.

Memorial Day

Sometimes, we get some work singing madrigal music during Memorial Day.

Just Me

Here is an individual picture of me we took during a concert series for the San Lorenzo Valley Chamber of Commerce.
